Overview Promotion Department Work

The scope of work for a promotion department is to develop a promotional and awareness strategy for the ICT sector by identifying the tasks and duties that would reflect a positive image of the ministry, programs, projects, & initiatives in the minds of the target audience through the use of means of communications And all the media ads, and visual Publicize developments in the sector.


The main functions:

-
  Promotion of the programs, projects and initiatives of the Ministry's
    work
-  Promoting the ICT sector Jordanian
-  managing and implementing promotional campaigns at the local,
   regional and global definition of all developments in the sector and how
   to use them in the investment area.

-  Conducting an awareness sessions for all citizens and organizations
  (Universities, schools, institutions (about MOICT programmers, projects
   and initiatives.
-  Coordination and cooperation with all media institutions print and
   broadcast national and global levels alike to publicize the activities of
   the ministry and the developments in the sector.
- The arrangement and coordination with the concerned parties
   (Internally and externally).
 

 Promotions Department Achievements 

Implementation of media campaign for e-government program by three phases (the citizen sector, government, business), which started with the beginning of this year and included the following:

-  Declaration on the television ministry in general and another on
   services provided by the government's program of electronic repetition
    number of times (80).

1) The Declaration for the promotion of e- services provided by the
    E-government portal and the number of Jordanian radio the is 
    frequency  (270).
 
2) Advertising at the daily newspapers (130) Ads included all services
    provided by the e-government and e-services that have been
    implemented in other departments and ministries.

3) Send 60000 mass emails randomly throughout the Kingdom.

4) Send 60000 SMS randomly for the Kingdom's population.

5) To put billboards for a month in areas of Oman include:

o (2) Unipole
o (160) Muppies
o (24) Billboards

and the accompanying large group of news releases, reports and media interviews.

 - Implementation of an media campaign aimed at clarifying the impact of
   the telecommunications sector in the national economy in cooperation
   with telecommunications companies included ads in the Jordanian
   television, radio, newspapers and billboards ways.

- Media coverage of all activities and events carried out by the ministry
   during the year.

- Participation in all activities and events carried out by institutions and  companies sector and the media coverage.

-Activation of internal communication and continuous contact with the
  staff of the ministry and update them through:

-- Issuing daily press report, which includes a comprehensive.

-- Overseeing the contents of the website of the ministry and start
    providing them with new themes.

-- Portray all activities related to the ministry and dissemination via the
    intranet

-- Subscription journals social, economic and parked in his ministry to
    enable staff to her readings and take advantage of the topics there.

--  Supervision of the paintings, television and CD offer periodic
     uninterrupted contains the vision and objectives of the ministry
     as well as broadcast television and radio interviews with Your
     Excellency,broadcast television advertisements promoting a special
      program of e- government services
