ICT Advocacy Council

An effective public private council that develops advises and tracks the long term strategic vision for Jordan’s ICT sector, as articulated in Jordan’s broader goal of a knowledge-based economy and society.

 

The council is an effective public private partnership that:

  • Provides advice to the Minister
  • Facilitates dialogue among the public and the private sectors to address common goals
  • Offers policy direction
  • Shares vision
  • Supports the sector that is;
    • Visionary
    • promotional and growth oriented
    • evolving and dynamic
  • Coordinates and facilitates information exchange among the public and the private sectors
  • Monitors and evaluates the policy and strategy implementation

 

Council members are appointed by the Prime Minister:

  • Chairman of Intaj
  • CEO of Intaj
  • Head of Int@j’s Advocacy Committee
  • Two of Int@j’s Advocacy Committee members
  • Chairman of the Jordan Computer Association
  • Secretary General, MoICT
  • Head of e-Government, MoICT
  • Head of Telecommunications Policy and Strategy, MoICT
  • Head of IT Policy and Strategy, MoICT
