His Majesty’s efforts to liberalize Jordan’s economy offer great opportunities for investment in Jordan’s ICT sector. Prominent among global treaties that create opportunity for ICT investments is the US Free Trade Agreement, ratified in 2001. Additionally, the Qualifying Industrial Zones (QIZs) offer duty and quota free access to the US market. Duty free access to the EU markets is enabled through the ratified Jordan-EU Partnership Agreement, while access is available to more than 10 Arab countries through the Arab Free Trade Agreement. Jordan also enjoys bilateral agreements and favorable protocols with over 20 countries, and is a member of the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA).
